The ECCO Recycling facility is equipped with two large, heated vehicle scales, one attended and one semi-attended. The Semi-attended scale can be accessed twenty-four (24) hours for clients with accounts and Radio Frequency Identifiers (RFID). In addition, the Materials Recycling Facility houses a small scale for weighing baled materials. All the scales at our facility are calibrated on a quarterly basis for quality control and assurance.
The landfill is Class III Dry Non-Hazardous waste disposal site designed to manage disposal of Construction and Demolition (C&D) materials, Industrial, Commercial or Institutional (ICI) materials and other inert materials. We welcome everyone from a homeowner cleaning out the basement or completing a small renovation to small and large contractors to large scale developers.

Materials arriving at the site are weighed and visually inspected at the scales; the Scale House Attendant generates a scale ticket for the load detailing the type of material, destination (at the ECCO facility), gross tonnage, vehicle tare, net tonnage, date and time; the load is then directed to the landfill working face for tipping, inspection and disposal.
